VETERANS AT PORT
In recognition of their service to the nation, the village council decided
that the returned soldiers should be
recognized with gold medals. An
impressive ceremony took place at
Lakeside Park in which Capt. EJ
Lovelace spoke of the engagements
where the Canadian Corps brought fame to Canada. The medals were
presented by Lt. Col. FC McCordick.
St. Catharines Standard - Sept. 8, 1918
